St. Helena Unified School District is comprised of a primary school (261 students) and elementary school (260 students), both with alternative programs, a middle school (313 students) and a high school (509 students). Students from two nearby elementary districts also attend.
The staff is comprised of 91 certificated teachers, 5 counselors and 85 classified employees. 4 principals, 2 assistant principals, a CBO, an assistant superintendent and the superintendent serve as the District's Administrative Council.
The District is a Basic Aid District with a yearly budget of approximately $20 million.
Through parent groups, the St. Helena Public Schools Foundation and unmatched gifting, the local community augments the athletic and fine arts programs, enriches classrooms and provides an impressive number of scholarships to high school graduates. There is strong community support for the schools, including a tremendous volunteer support program.
