Parents are invited to learn about our school in a variety of ways:

• Visit the various pages on the SHPS Website for more information about our school.
• Arrange a visit by contacting the school to learn about our visitation dates, held in Spring. Parents will have an opportunity to view a video about our school, visit classrooms, and have a Question & Answer session with administrators.
  

SPECIFIC DATES ARE PENDING, SO PLEASE CHECK BACK; HOWEVER, GENERALLY, REGISTRATION PACKETS MAY BE PICKED UP IN THE SCHOOL OFFICE IN LATE MARCH.

We urge parents to complete the registration process by early May. However, the date of registration will NOT affect eligibility, so there is no need to rush in to register in March.  We strive to balance all classrooms in terms of gender and ethnicity.

Children must be 5 years old by December 2nd in order to be eligible for Kindergarten. However, California is one of only 7 states that has a registration deadline past September 1st. We urge parents of children with fall birthdays to consider giving their children more time, given the challenges we have seen for many of our younger students.

First Grade students must have a physical examination within 18 months of starting first grade. If your child has an examination any time after (DATE TO-BE-ANNOUNCED) that examination will meet the requirement for the physical. Forms are available with your registration packet for your child's doctor to complete.
