Wellness Clinic

Welcome to St. Helena High School's
WELLNESS CLINIC
 
The Wellness Clinic is designed to promote the optimal wellness of the entire student body, faculty, and staff at St. Helena High School.  The clinic offers:
 
  • 5 hours per week of valuation and treatment of musculo-skeletal injuries, pain, and physical dysfunction by licensed physical therapy staff
  • education and training for self-care of injuries, stretching, strengthening, injury prevention, and more
  • monthly educational seminars
  • ongoing rehabilitative support to all athletic teams
  • resource for guidance and referrals to adjunct services (MD, nutrition, counseling, substance abuse)
  • ongoing resource for students, parents, faculty, coaches, and staff
  • foster lifelong participation in physical activities and healthy choices
 
The clinic operates on a 'walk-in' basis Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.  There is no fee for the services of the Wellness Clinic.  Students must have a completed Treatment Authorization Form.  This form will be kept on file and will serve as pre-authorization by parents/guardians for treatment.
 
It is widely understood that healthy students are better learners with fewer absences, improved concentration, greater academic success, and greater meaningful participation in activities which are essential tools to build strong citizens and communities for the future.
