Dear Parents and Students,

I would like to begin by introducing myself as the new principal of St. Helena Primary School (SHPS).  My name is Tom Hoskins and I am absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of your child's education this year.  I have lived in Northern California for the past ten years with my wife, raising our three children and love this area.  I am excited about getting to know your child and meeting you during the school year.

My background in education includes teaching 1st-3rd graders; serving as K-6 curriculum coach; and most recently spending six years as an elementary school principal.  My goal will be to work with the various groups of St. Helena Primary School (Parents, Students, Teachers and Staff) to identify areas of strength as well as areas for improvement and provide leadership that results in positive changes and academic success for our students.  In my initial meetings with teachers and staff, I have found them to be a dedicated and compassionate group of professionals that are poised to take St. Helena Primary school to new heights.
